Congratulations Langley Blaze – 2024 BCPBL Premier League Champions

July 7 – The Premier Blaze earlier today clinched first place in the BCPBL Premier League and now hold the #1 seed going into the BCPBL Premier Provincial Championships July 18-21.  The Blaze needed to win their first game today (10-1W) vs the Whalley Chiefs, which in a worst case scenario would have had the Blaze tie the Delta Blue Jays, but they would have won the tie-breaker.  To leave no doubt, the Blaze took game 2 vs the Chiefs 12-2.  The Blaze have 5 games remaining in the season to prepare for the Provincial Championships next week.  Their record as of July 7 in league play is 29-6 and overall they sit 64-13.

Jun 9.24 – The Langley Blaze captured the 2024 Langley Blaze Invitational Tournament the hard way.  Over the course of the tournament, the Blaze played their own pool games, going 3-1, and then played a BCPBL league rain out game vs the Mid Island Pirates, and then because of their 1 loss in pool play, they were seeded 6th on Championship Sunday which meant they needed to win 3 games on the final day- They did.

The Blaze thank all the parents who volunteered all weekend.  We also thank the players and coaches for their tireless efforts on and off the filed over the course of the tournament.

Game 1 vs North Fraser Nationals 14-2 W

Game 2 vs Brampton Royals 12-0 W

Game 3 vs Mid Island Pirates 10-0 W (also a league make up game)

Game 4 vs Mid Island Pirates 12-2 W (league make up game only)

Game 5 vs ATHX 3-0L

Game 6 Quarterfinal vs Webber Academy 9-1 W

Game 7 Semifinal vs White Rock Tritons 10-2 W

Game 8 Championship vs Delta Blue Jays 6-2 W

2024 Langley Blaze Invitational Tournament – Schedule Released

May 22.24- The highly anticipated schedule for the 2024 Langley Blaze Invitational Tournament has been officially released! The tournament, set to take place from June 5-9, promises to bring exciting baseball action to Langley and surrounding communities, featuring top-tier teams from across Canada.

This year’s Invitational will see elite baseball teams competing in Langley, Abbotsford, White Rock and Richmond, with games spanning five days of intense competition. Teams from British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario will showcase their talents, vying for the coveted championship title that will be given out at McLeod Field in Langley on Sunday afternoon June 9.
