TORONTO – London Majors starter Owen Boon limited the Toronto Maple Leafs to just four hits but unfortunately, two of the four were back-to-back home runs. The jacks powered the Leafs to a 2-1 win at Christie Pits to tie the best-of-seven series 2-2. Game 5 is Tuesday in London.

Jordan Castaldo and Justin Marra led off the fourth inning with the back-to-back homers to secure Toronto’s win. The Majors had taken a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Robert Mullen’s two-out double, scoring Gibson Krzeminski who had reached base on a single.

Winning pitcher Angel Castro (3-1) scattered 10 London hits over seven innings, allowing London’s only run while walking three and striking out eight. Reliever Franklin Hernandez picked up his third save of the playoffs by pitching the final two innings. He didn’t allow a hit while walking only one and striking out three.

Taylor Wright and Daniel Perrier had two hits each to lead London’s attack while Marra had two of the Leafs four hits.

Boon (2-1) also went seven innings in taking the loss. He struck out eight and allowed only four Toronto hits and three walks. Fernando Fernandez finished up striking one in his only inning.
