Victoria, BC – The HarbourCats Foundation is thrilled to announce a Charity Slo-Pitch Softball Game, featuring Greater Victoria First Responders and Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Famers.
This exciting event will take place at Wilson’s Group Stadium at historic Royal Athletic Park, on Sunday, July 9, 2023, with game time at 1:05 pm.
This fun-filled family afternoon aims to bring together the Greater Victoria community while supporting local heroes and honouring the achievements of local sports legends, in the spirit of friendly competition, entertainment, and community engagement.
Spectators can anticipate an enticing atmosphere with live music, delicious food concessions, and activities for fans of all ages.
This charity game will raise funds for the HarbourCats Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to, “the support of baseball and softball efforts across the Greater Victoria area and helping make these two sports affordable for all children. Whether it be assisting in the purchasing of much-needed equipment, education, or fee support, the HarbourCats Foundation strives to foster the growth and sustainability of baseball and softball so that all youth enjoy the opportunity to play these wonderful pastimes.”
The Foundation would like to express gratitude to the City of Victoria, Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club, event sponsors, community partners, and volunteers who have generously supported this initiative – and of course the First Responders and Sports Hall of Famers! Everyone’s dedication and commitment have been instrumental in bringing this “Field of Dreams” dream to reality.
Tickets for the Charity Slo-Pitch Game can be purchased on-line at Select your Tickets, or at the HarbourCats office at 1814 Vancouver Street. They will also be available at the Stadium box office on game day. Prices for all seats, all sections: $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under.
