Sep 1.24 – The Parksville Royals, a proud member of the British Columbia Premier Baseball League (BCPBL), are excited to announce a significant change to their identity. Moving forward, the team will be known as the North Island Royals.

Mike Parlow, General Manager of the Royals organization, shared the reasoning behind the change: “We officially changed our name to the North Island Royals to better reflect the diverse make-up of our team. Our players come from across the North Island, and this new name truly represents the region we serve.”

The BCPBL continues to be recognized not just for its competitive baseball, but for its commitment to the holistic success of its athletes. The BCPBL is about more than just winning games.  It’s about our success rate in helping players move on to post-secondary institutions throughout North America and seeing them succeed in all aspects of life. That is true success and what defines the BCPBL.

The newly named North Island Royals look forward to continuing their tradition of excellence both on and off the field as they embrace this new chapter in the organization’s history.
