The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) announced its B45 Baseball Players of the Week for August 14 to 20, 2023.
Barrie infielder Adam Odd (Streetsville, Ont.) was named Batter of the Week, following an impressive 7-for-13 (.538) week during which he drove in five runs and scored an IBL-best six himself.
The former Toronto Varsity Blue now leads the Baycats in batting average (.390) and doubles (13) on the season.
Toronto right-hander Daniel Procopio (Toronto, Ont.) was named Pitcher of the Week, following a five-inning shutout performance against Guelph on August 20.
Procopio, a Niagara University alumnus, fanned six while allowing just two hits in a critical win for the Maple Leafs.
The 27 year-old is now 5-1 on the season, and has allowed one solitary run over his last three outings.
