Henri Constant, a beloved member of the Baseball Manitoba community, has passed away.
Henri was very interested in sport, and had a distinguished and selfless career as a volunteer supporting youth baseball and hockey programs in his community of Transcona. He was a league commissioner, division coordinator and tournament organizer for youth baseball. Later in life, he cared for the Transcona Stadium baseball field, and did so passionatley for over three decades. Henri was recognized for his contributions when the field was renamed Henri Constant Field in a ceremony held on June 22, 2018.
Henri’s passing affects many people across the province, and all of us at Baseball Manitoba send our deepest condolences to the Constant family and his entire community at this time.
